NGIS and Skyline Expand Strategic Partnership Globally to Advance 3D Geospatial Intelligence
Media Release | 27th August 2026
NGIS and Skyline Software Systems are pleased to announce the global expansion of their strategic partnership, building on a successful collaboration previously focused on the Australian market.
This next phase of the partnership aligns with NGIS joining the CLS Group, a global leader in Earth observation and environmental intelligence with a network spanning 30+ offices across 12+ countries and more than 1,000 employees worldwide. This expanded footprint enables NGIS and Skyline to jointly deliver advanced 3D geospatial solutions at scale to governments, defence, maritime, infrastructure operators, and commercial enterprises globally.
NGIS specialises in delivering industry-leading geospatial solutions, combining Earth observation, enterprise GIS, cloud technologies, AI, and location intelligence using best-in-class technology partnerships to solve complex real-world challenges.
Skyline Software Systems is a recognised leader in enterprise 3D geospatial systems, digital twin technology, and situational visualisation platforms. Its TerraExplorer platform enables organisations to build, visualise, and analyse highly detailed 3D environments that support mission planning, infrastructure management, emergency response, defence operations, and smart city initiatives.
Together, NGIS and Skyline will provide customers with a powerful combination of technologies and expertise, enabling seamless integration of enterprise GIS and 3D digital twin capabilities. This will deliver enhanced situational awareness, improved planning, faster decision-making, and greater operational resilience through immersive, data-rich environments.
Through the expanded CLS global network, NGIS is now positioned to extend Skyline’s technology to new markets worldwide, leveraging an established ecosystem of geospatial, Earth observation, and environmental intelligence partners.
The Partnership in Action: Athens Flood Risk 3D Visualisation Pilot
One of the first initiatives under the partnership is the Athens Flood Risk 3D Visualisation Map Viewer Pilot for the City of Athens, Greece.
Developed in collaboration with Google Cloud, the project combines Google’s next-generation mapping and photorealistic 3D tiles with Skyline’s TerraExplorer platform and NGIS’s geospatial expertise to create an immersive digital environment for urban resilience planning.
The solution enables stakeholders to visualise flood-prone areas in a realistic 3D context, analyse infrastructure vulnerabilities and evaluate potential impacts before disasters occur. By bringing together advanced mapping, terrain modelling and geospatial analytics, the pilot demonstrates how digital twins can support more informed planning, risk assessment and emergency preparedness.
The project highlights the broader opportunity for cities around the world to use 3D geospatial intelligence to improve resilience, optimise investment decisions and strengthen disaster response capabilities.
NGIS and Skyline will work together on joint solution development, project delivery, market engagement and customer support across key international markets.
The partnership reflects a shared vision of advancing the use of 3D geospatial intelligence to help organisations make better decisions, improve resilience and create more sustainable, connected communities.
By bringing together industry-leading technology, global expertise, and a commitment to innovation, NGIS and Skyline are positioned to accelerate the adoption of next-generation digital solutions worldwide.
Ronnie Yaron, CEO, Skyline Software Systems, said:
“Over the past decade, Skyline and NGIS have built a successful partnership delivering advanced geospatial solutions across Australia. The expansion of this relationship through the CLS Group’s global network creates an exciting opportunity to bring those proven capabilities to customers around the world. By combining NGIS’ expertise in geospatial transformation, Earth observation and enterprise GIS with Skyline’s advanced 3D geospatial intelligence and digital twin technologies, we can help organisations move beyond traditional mapping to create operationally relevant digital environments that improve planning, situational awareness and decision-making.”
Nathan Eaton, Executive Director, NGIS, said:
“Organisations today need intelligent, immersive environments that help them plan, analyse and respond with confidence. Our partnership with Skyline enables us to deliver world-class solutions. We are excited about the opportunities this creates for our customers globally.”
