We are so proud to say that our team won the West Australian Spatial Excellence Awards (WASEA) 2015 for People and Community & the WASEA Award for Spatial Enablement. The WA Awards dinner was held at the Crown Casino in Perth which turned out to be an exciting evening of recognising the achievements and contribution that the Spatial Industry provides to the Australian Economy. We also won the QLD Spatial Excellence Award for our Cyclone Pam Crisis Map.

Cyclone Pam Crisis Map : Winner of WASEA People and Community award 2015 &

Queensland Spatial Excellence Award 2015 for People and Community

NGIS partnered with CRC-SI and Digital Globe to assist with the recovery effort in Vanuatu after Cyclone Pam devastated community in March 2015.  They created and managed the web-based Cyclone Pam Crisis Map.  The Crisis Map was a crucial tool for managing and coordinating the disaster response, including providing the first post-cyclone imagery and population data to help aid agencies to target assistance for outer islands that had issues with both communications and access.

Interactive Map Application for the WA Property Marketing : Finalist for WASEA Award for Spatial Enablement

NGIS worked with the REIWA team to design, develop and deploy a highly interactive map application that uses Googleā€™s powerful heat map functionality to dynamically display sales price and sales activity at a local level across metropolitan Perth.

The integration of WA Government data from Landgate makes REIWA the first non-government organisation to leverage SLIP, providing reiwa.com users with access to property boundaries and dimensions, along with water and sewer services data. By utilising maps as a vehicle to communicate complex market, government and local data, NGIS helped reiwa.com achieve its vision as the industry-leading information hub for both commerical and residential properties, making the selling, leasing and buying much easier for all Western Australians.
