NGIS and Winyama take home four WA SSSI awards

,

Friday 5th November 2021 marked the occasion for the annual WA Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute (SSSI) awards night. Each year, SSSI awards businesses and individuals with Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards (APSEA) for each nominated category. The awards celebrate achievements of top spatial information enterprises and individuals.

Category winners from each state and territory then progress to the national awards for the whole Oceanic Asia-Pacific Spatial Excellence Awards; the only event of its kind that celebrates excellence in surveying and spatial information industries in the Asia Pacific, at a single event.

This year we were honoured to receive the following awards for Western Australia:

Environment and sustainability  –  Sustainable Sourcing Platform (TraceMark)

International partnerships – GEO Google Earth Engine Programme

Workforce development and inclusion – IMW On Demand

Diversity and Inclusion – Andrew Dowding (Winyama)

NGIS and Winyama are thrilled to be recognised at the ASPEA’s, largely thanks to our collaboration with other businesses which is at the heart of how we operate. We relish the opportunity to get together with our small, but mighty community here in Perth and celebrate the contributions everyone makes to the industry as a whole—through leadership, partnership, inclusion and impact.
