Local councils often have limited budgets for set projects, so NGIS has taken this into consideration with the scope of the work. We support and update mapping systems which are used for planning permissions, waste management, street naming and ranger services. To ensure the job is done effectively a strategic plan is put together before the work commences to garuantee the project reaches the key goals required by your council.

Our GIS, Intramaps, is widely used by local government as a geospatial software with a broad range of applications. From basic web mapping, to customized local data pickup, data management, and field data pickup.

The Shire of Dardanup

In 2021 NGIS was approached to assist the Shire of Dardanup to help support the update of their mapping systems. In improving the core and customised functionality of the Intramaps components, the Shire of Dardanup now has a more agile and improved Intramaps environment.

Local councils have complex and dynamic datasets. Ensuring the currency and validity is something that all organisations struggle with. NGIS helped not only update the Shire of Dardanups current data but helped plan for and implement to use of dynamic datasets, greatly reducing the need for a manual update process.

The Shire has a clearer strategy for mapping and data management as well as long term locational intelligence targets. The strategic planning not only helped them today but took into account the Shire's future mapping and data requirements.

We are left here in a very much more informed and stronger position than when we started out which is directly due to the knowledge and professionalism of your team.
