NGIS briefed at Google Singapore

In January, the NGIS staff travelled to Singapore after being invited for a Google office tour and briefing on the evolution of Google Maps API.

Three groups of NGIS people were invited to the regional headquarters of the tech giant, which is spread over three buildings and 10 floors.

NGIS staff were given guided tours of the office, seeing the work and play areas that make the staff of Google comfortable and productive. Napping and meditation rooms, beauty salons, virtual reality games rooms, cafes, gyms, rooftop gardens, snack bars within 200m of every staff member and the cafeteria all help keep the staff happy.

The office spans three buildings and has exactly 26 steps between each floor (the same number of letters in the alphabet to represent Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc.) and has dozens of individually themed meeting rooms, making up what has to be amongst the most detailed and high quality office fit outs globally.

As Premier Partners of Google Cloud, NGIS are exposed to the latest information about cloud products including maps, infrastructure, machine learning and more. We use this early access to information to keep our clients up to date, using best practice and the latest technology.

We extend our gratitude to the Google team for their time and hospitality in hosting us in Singapore.
