Nathan Eaton

Nathan is at the forefront of all suites of spatial technology offerings NGIS provides to its clients. Nathan has worked with over 100 clients across Australia and internationally to deliver fit for purpose solutions. He has trained over 1000 people to use spatial technologies including Esri, MapInfo, Google, Remote Sensing and Open Source technologies.

Nathan is passionate about sharing his knowledge in GIS. Within his roles at NGIS, his international work with developing nations has been instrumental in helping organisations in Africa, Asia and the Pacific Islands.

Nathan’s innovation and technical expertise is also demonstrated through his role as training manager at NGIS. Nathan's combination of technical and training experience in GIS has resulted in him developing  courses across the Google and Esri suites, which NGIS is renowned for offering at the highest level. 

Nathan has provided technical leadership on ground-breaking Google Maps deployment projects such as Landgate’s SLIP Future and Northern Territory Government’s Google Earth.

Nathan was the technical lead tasked with the implementation of NGIS’ enterprise partnership with Google. NGIS is now positioned as one of the leading Google Geo authorities globally. In addition to Nathan’s knowledge and skills within developing solutions with Google Enterprise Technology, he is also NGIS’ resident expert and technical lead for Esri solutions.

Nathan uses his knowledge to deploy GIS solutions for mobile, desktop and web across all industries. Nathan provides NGIS' clients with advice and strategies to provide the right solution for their needs.
