Kris is a Software Engineer based at the NGIS Perth office in Burswood. Kris started working with NGIS in 2015 and has over 15 years experience in the IT industry.
Kris holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering from Curtin University. Coming from a support background, he then moved to develop enterprise software for a large engineering consultancy before branching out into geospatial and application development for clients. Kris has worked with many technologies, most notably with Microsoft, Google and ESRI, along with many other GIS systems, development frameworks, patterns and practices. He has expertise in UI development, data visualisation, data analysis and has a keen interest in design and aesthetics, cognitive science and AI.
NGIS has clients from a wide range of industries, which has led to a diversity of work which Kris has enjoyed. He has worked with clients ranging from big mining companies, agribusiness, government entities and not-for-profit organisations. Kris also credits NGIS' openness to innovation and using new and up-to-date technology.
