Alden is a consultant principal with a focus on improving business operations for clients through spatial strategies, solutions, and projects to support ‘intelligent’ decision making and in supporting business outcomes. With specific skills and strengths in stakeholder management, business engagement and strategic project design, Alden also manages the NGIS Delivery team.
With 20+ years of project experience across four continents, Alden has successfully led large teams throughout the project lifecycle, with experience in the resources, government, not for profit, and commercial sectors.
As an active member of the international project management community, Alden has been involved in activities such as the definition of program management standards, and in project management competency development frameworks. As past president of the WA Project Management Institute Chapter, and Leadership Institute alumni, Alden is passionate about all things projects.
However, Alden also suffers from a congenital condition where he believes his sporting skills and talents are “above average” as opposed to the reality that he swings a golf club like a hockey stick, a tennis racquet like a baseball bat, and a baseball bat like a cricket bat. He is also a tragic (AFL) Fremantle fan of 20 years.
